Dear parents, Mr Pang had topped up his phone card today so the phone is now up and working. Please feel free to give Mr Pang a call should there be an emergency. We will really appreciate it as the phone now has only 50 dollars once again. Kids who have ordered additional phone cards yesterday have also received their phonecards while those who had just ordered theirs will only get their cards tomorrow.
Today, the kids spent a day at Fu Dan Wan Ke Private School. They visited the school, had lunch in the school and then spent the afternoon learning how to make mini rockets. The kids really had lotsa fun working with their Shanghai counterparts. We then had lunch at their hostel canteen. The food was really a spread. The kids then returned to the hotel to do their reflections as well as learn how to make the water rockets.
Due to the power shortage in China because of the snow storm, the lightings at YangTze river will only be available only on Fridays and Saturdays. As such, we will be making a visit tomorrow night. Therefore we will be coming back to the hotel a little late.
The kids are really "active" and we would like to take the chance to send praises to some excellent kids. First to be mentioned will be Eadric. Not only has he taken care of his room mate (jerry) really well but he has also shown great leadership. He falls in line quickly and understand what is required of him especially when we move from place to place. This makes things a whole lot easier for the teachers. He also urged his group mates to fall in line quickly too and took great care of his belongings and mine too! Thank you Mr and Mrs Wong! Eadric is excellent.

Well done Eadric!

Jerry's grandparents arrived at the airport on our first day of arrival and Jerry said that he has called Grandpa!
Brian says, "Thanks ma for getting lucus parents to visit me ... wanna tell you that I have been a good boy, only drank half a glass of soft drink today!"

Last but not least,
It's really brave of the kids to come here all by themselves. Do give them your utmost support....as the "crying" disease is really contagious especially amongst the girls. They are after all mummy's girl and whenever they hear their parents, they will start to miss home. Do give them your support and ask them to be strong! Get them to call you once in 2 days?

Dear teachers,
Thanks so much for the update again!
Have a wonderful weekend ahead!
Dear Teachers,
Zillion thanks for all the pictures and updates. The kids do seems to be tougher and more independent than we thought. Manage to keep in touch with my boy (Axl), glad that he is trying to cope and not to be careless even though he is quite sotong at times. Keep it up, Axl. He seems to be enjoying the trip and the companion of his roommate. Beside academic learning, I'm sure these kids will have much to share when they are back. While looking out for the kids,I hope all the teachers are having fun too.
Best regards,
Axl's Parent
Dear Teachers,
The pictures in this blog are great. We can see that the children are safe and enjoying themselves. Thank you a million for taking care of Niger and providing this experience for his growing up.
Niger,
Did you manage to make your rocket? Hope to see it fly tomorrow. SMS me when you get your new SIM card tomorrow. Cheer up and enjoy yourself. Please drink more water. Keep up the good work and stay strong.
Cheers,
Niger's parent

Dear Mr Pang,
This is Joel Wong's mother, requesting for your help in buying a lip gloss for him as he's lost his since yesterday, and i understand his lips are cracking. Also kindly see if anyone happens to have charger for his model of camera, Olympus. Thank you very much.
Regards
Dr Goh
Hello there, I saw Dr Goh's call for help for Joel... my son Brian has a whole bottle of vaseline cream that would help with cracking lips... please ask Joel to share it with Brian.
And to Axl's parents, I think Axl and Brian are roommates. Axl is a great pal, said Brian.
Cheers to all the parents for their bravery too!
Bita
Thank you Bita, will get Brian to share his lip gloss with Joel. Joel dropped his gloves just now but managed to find it else it will be really cold for him.
